"She's a Bass!"

Quick! Name the movie that line is from!

Slowly, very slowly, my voice is starting to re-emerge. Right now I'm about an octave below Lauren Bacall, so I won't be hitting any high notes anytime soon, but at least I don't sound like a frog on oxygen. The good thing is that I have been able to get a lot done. I finished cutting out the HotPatterns Cha cha cha dress:

I've wanted to make this one ever since I saw Gigi's post. Then I saw that Twisted Angel did one, and I really liked it, so I figured it was time to put on my dancin' shoes and cha cha cha! It's all cut and ready to sew. The fun thing about it is that I had enough of the fabric from my original Cosmopolitan Dress left over that I was able to use it for this dress. Stay tune.! It should be done tomorrow or thereabouts.

Happy sewing!

WOW! It must be the weekend of the Cha Cha Cha---I'm cutting one out tonight. Doing the long sleeved version though for a cute dress to wear in a/c'd office. :) (Plus its not as warm in So Cal as everyone thinks, and long sleeves in light fabric are fine for summer nights!)

That pattern is flying over the Ocean to reach me soon (hopefully), along with the Cosmo Dress pattern, and I really cannot wait!!
Hope your voice comes back soon.

Whatever the "crud" is that you have must be making its way throughout my area. I sound like Lauren also.I have been lucky that I have not had any "crud" since 2005. This is not keeping me out of my sewing room though.

Am curious, Ann, as to why you are using the same fabric on the ChaCha as the Cosmo dress. I really am just wondering as I have had fabric I really loved but was afraid to use it again fearing I'd get tired of it.

P.S. Spaceballs!
