Next Up, a Summer Shirtdress

I am in the mood for a summer dress. I think I'll make view B, the short sleeved version. I have a metallic accented cotton floral that has been aging in my stash for about 3 or 4 years. I don't have my camera with me, but I'll post a picture of it later.

The sun made an appearance yesterday, but today it's playing hide and seek. We were awakened to Bahamian style thunderboomers this morning, and they are expecting more later today. My tomatoes are, surprisingly, loving this weather. The sunflowers? Mmm, not so much. And of course, the hibiscus is happy as a clam in mud.

Happy sewing!

I'm just finishing up this pattern and yup, it's view B in a print. Have the buttons and hem to finish. It's always the handwork at the end that slows me down. Happy sewing!

Great classic pattern! My tomatoes are loving all this moisture, too.

That's a great dress! It's been all rain all the time here lately which is fine with me. It's better than the sweltering heat, my plants are happy and my pool is full.

My garden looks the best this year too (except that the weeds also like the weather...)!
I love shirtdresses both modern and vintage...I am sure I have this one in the stash. Can't wait to see your version!

I love that pattern. I just finished a shirt dress and got so many compliments that I will be making more. I love them; so classic.

I was really attracted to that pattern too so it's in my stash, fairly close to the top. I can't wait to see your dress.
