... to play You in a movie?
My friend Brian came up with this on his Facebook page and I thought it was so fun I wanted to share it! In fact, let's start a meme. Here's how it works. Who would you pick to play the role of You in a Hollywood movie (could be Bollywood, Ozziewood, Eurowood, you pick). Post it on your blog and leave a comment here pointing us to you. I'll start. It's harder than I thought it would be. See, I know who I would like to portray me-in-ten-years (Glenn Close).
And I know who I'd like to portray me-ten-years-ago (Pink).
Yes, they're blondes. But at one point, so was I - platinum. I even have the pictures to prove it, but you're not going to see them.
But the question remains - who should play Me now? Hmmmm.... let me think. Okay, I finally came up with it. Drum roll please...
Ms. Demi Moore, y'all!
Strong, sexy, knows her own mind and doesn't give a you know what about what people think. Plus she has great taste in men. Yep, she'd get the plum role of moi.
Okay, your turn! Here's how you play.
1 - Decide which celebrity you would cast to play you
2 - Post it on your blog
3 - Leave a link here so we can come on over and see
Have fun!

No blog, but I refuse to be left out. 100 years ago, I'd have selected Candace Bergen. (There's no resemblance, just lots of wishful thinking on my part.) In the here and now, I'd choose Shirley Maclaine, but she'd no doubt turn her nose up at the gig, leaving me with the most realistic choice: Doris Roberts.
LOL, Ann, you took mine. Twenty years ago I looked so much like Mel Harris (the whiney one named Hope on Thirty-Something) that I ended up cutting my hair.
In more recent years it's been Demi Moore.
BTW, I was off-line while you were making your bustier, but I wanted to say that I've taken a look at it. Gorgeous! Stunning. You'll look incredible performing wearing that this year.
Beautifully done too.
Easy, easy, easy!!! :) Audrey Landers. Here's my blog link about it: http://phatchickdesigns.blogspot.com/2009/10/who-would-you-cast.html
Well I can't say I've ever given that much thought, although in college a friend of mine (who grew up in Greenwich Villiage) always insisted I was dead-ringer for the wife of Johnny Thunders (who?) LOL!
This is an easy one! Elaray: The Movie
No blog here, but I want to play along! She's a bit older than I am, but my first thought is Candace Bergen . . . second choice would be Bette Midler, despite the fact that she's much shorter (and bust-ier, sigh) than I!
Jennifer Garner! Sweet, down to earth and I think she even looks a little like me... at least I got that a lot from people when she was all over the place during her Alias days. :)
I LOVE that you picked Pink!
Oh, I can resist this....too many possibilities for fun!!

Ann, this was perfect timing because I just lost the post I was working on and was catching up on everyone else while I decided if I had the energy to rewrite it, and you've saved me for tonight.
I'm Janeane Garofalo. Pleased to meet you. http://sewingbytheseatofmypants.blogspot.com/2009/10/who-would-i-cast.html
How fun! Susan Sarandon would be the actress I would cast to play me!

Well, hello Pink and Demi Moore. I want to see the movie! I knew my choice right away -Kristin Chenoweth.

Love the Demi Moore choice. If I had my choice it would be Dianne Carrole or Lynn Whitfield, both strong beautiful women and Dianne has been my idol since she played Julia during my childhood.
Several years ago at an employee "team building" meeting, we did this and my answer is still the same: what strangers in the grocery store and restaurants kept telling, that I looked like "that woman from MadTv." Nicole Sullivan, currently on "Rita Rocks". (Although an older gentleman suggested Angie Dickenson instead.)
Juliette Lewis; Uma Thurman; Jamie Lee Curtis. Maybe also Jane Seymour; Geena Davis; Diane Lane.
