Pattern Description: From the Jalie website, "Sweetheart top with banded neckline and front yokes, gathers at the bust and a choice of cap or three-quarter sleeve." I made the 3/4 sleeve version.
Sizes: 27 sizes included (!) ranging from girls' size 2 to women's size 22
Did it look like the photo/drawing? Yes it did.
How were the instructions? They were pretty good. I had to think a little bit about how the yoke attached to the front, but that could be due to the sinus infection I'm dealing with. I'm not feeling at my most lucid, and it's kind of hard to concentrate when I'm sneezing every few seconds. Bleah.
Likes/dislikes? I really like the lines of this pattern. It has good bones. I also like the fact that I don't need to do a FBA on it. It fit me great right out of the package. The only nit I have is that the band on the yoke has a tendency to flip up. Someone had warned me about this earlier, so I wasn't surprised by it.

You can take care of it by either tacking the band down or running a topstitching line along the curve. Once I'm done with this review I'll tack it down.
Fabric used: Bold 'n Beautiful Jersey from Gorgeous Fabrics. I really love this one, and I have been waiting for just the right top to show it off.
Would you make it again? Recommend it to others? You bet! This is a great pattern, and I love the way it looks on. Once I am over this sinus infection and don't look like death warmed over, I'll post a picture of me in it. In the meantime, here it is on the dressform.

Conclusion: This was my first foray into the wonderful world of Jalie. I see why people love these patterns. They are well drafted, they go together beautifully, and they look great on! All in all, a big thumbs up!

Jalie - c'est bon! I love your new top - I have been dying to get this pattern myself. Seeing your version may just be the push I need!!
The top looks great! Love that fabric! Wish I looked good in red.
I've made several things from Jalie patterns; they are really well done and are especially strong in terms of stretch fabrics. I only wish I were more adventuresome in terms of choosing fabrics and tend to only use single colors which is ok, but not terribly exciting.
The top looks great :) The fabric is perfect. Now I "must" make mine up. Thanks for posting. Ann
It turned out wonderfully!
Great pattern, great fabric, great outcome!!
Really cute blouse with really great print!
ok, now I'm going to GT at 2AM to purchase..........

Great looking top. I really like the fabric choice. I have this pattern on my long list to try.
What a great looking top! I am sorry to hear that you too suffer from the crud - Sinus infections. I have got to get that pattern!!
Beautiful -
Time for me to order that pattern!
I can just imagine you in it - and you'll look better than that skinny model in the photo. This is definitely a top that needs curves :-)
Hope you feel better soon, and that it's warmed up a bit from the 3 degrees last week!
It's 34C here in Melbourne today ;-)
I like this pattern more & more everytime I see it made up! Great job! Alittle off the topis but I think that I read on Stitcher's Guild that you have a Elna Overlock machine? I am thinking about getting an Elna 745 but I'm not finding mch in the way of reviews about it. I was really impressed when I tried the 745 out today at the dealer but I thought it best to read & trying as much as I can before I decide which brand to get. If there is anything that you can say about the Elna's (or anyother overlocks) I would love to hear. Thanks much!
Ann - the fabric choice for this top is great but is it only me that thinks you have a bullseye over one breast...now THAT can be an intriguing look...but am I wrong? Does the print hang differently on you? Not picking just wondering...
No Carolyn, when I wear it, the circle sits slightly higher than it does on the dress form. I'm not into bullseyes unless they are those caramel candies!
Beatiful top, Ann. Paco
cute!
Shew! Ann, thanks for clearing that up! :)
Too cute.
