OOOOO, a health plan!!!! Now there's a Christmas gift worth cheering about! A big 'thumbs up' for your husband the the entire Gorgeous Things household. So great to hear of someone's good fortune. I got(now, this doesn't sound like a lot, but the DH and I made a pact this year to buy 'one nice thing' for one another)a lovely Celtic silver brooch. I'm absolutely worthless with tying scarves, so being able to just stick a pin on my lapel works well for me. But YOU GUYS!!! Woohoo. Just very excited for you and your husband: A new job AND healthcare. Wow - a twofer.

My stepdaughters, ages 19 and 24...went in together and got me a nice little bookmark for my Holiday gift. That was the only thing under the Hanukkah bush for me this year :(

The ever-practical DF gave me a set of Blizzak tires and rims for my new car. He also ordered some Alaskan salmon that's yet to appear! Looks like we'll be filing a claim for that. My sis and the BIL sent me some new tops, including a cashmere/silk sweater I'm wearing now.

Okay - I bit...I did a post! And CONGRATULATIONS!!! on the offer letter...and don't worry it's Christmas Week...there is no one there to rescind the letter! He really starts work on January 5th!!!
Hooray for a health care plan!!! I got the Sex & the City Movie DVD and a gravity feed iron has been ordered for me too. No vodka though...guess I'll have to buy my own!!! Glad you had a great holiday! Mary

I received a cool computer toy for Christmas. It's a Wacom Bamboo tablet, which lets me more easily edit photos. I tried it out right away and changed a picture of a dress I'm working on to show how it would look with a lowered neckline, trim, and buttons.

Of all the gifts I got,my favorite is my bed warmer.Thats right,a bed warmer!Put it over the mattress,turn it on 5 mins before you crawl in bed and tada...a toasty bed!

I got a new camera, gifts cards to Victoria's Secret and Sephora, jewelry, chocolate and sewing books. What more could I ask for?
I got a remote car starter - INSTALLED (by my hubby no less). Just in time for a snow storm to hit the family cabin we're spending Christmas at.
I'm going to have to try some Effen Vodka - I think that will fit in nicely in my household :)
Congrats on your DH's job offer! My hubby is in a similar situation, but since our baby is so young we just decided to make the stay at home daddy thing work.
I got vodka too! Only mine is a cute mini set of Absolute flavoured vodkas. I will try and do a post too (tomorrow after work).
P.S I worked in a bottle shop for a short while- Effen is Effen good vodka!

I got a soft robe made with bamboo,and cozy pj pants.
Also a leather bag that can be used as a tote, purse, project carrier, etc from Boden. My son and daughter in law got me a little vase that resembles an old milk bottle and on it is the word "grandma". AWWWWW!
It's all about the health care today, isn't it? Congrats to hubby on the new opportunity. It must surely take the stress down a few notches.
I got a sub to BWOF, some nice tops, some really nice gourmet items. I love to cook almost as much as sew. A panini grill is coming. I just have to go pick it up.

Well, I got 4 yards of the most beautiful aubergine colored wool for a coat from -- you guessed it-- GorgeousFabrics.com. (Thank you Ann! When I got the fabric, I was soooo pleased that I told myself I should sit right down and write you a letter say as much. Hope this will do.) I also got some sheet silver for making jewelry, some beautiful purple and purplish-blue gems (amethysts and iolite)to be set, and the usual household items (lamps, towels, dishware) that my husband thinks of as gifts to me.
Love it, and will definitely be keeping my fingers crossed for you with an added bit of prayer too.
I hope this it's not too late! I posted. Congratulations to your sweet hubby on his job...fingers are crossed!
